Kind Cotton Reading Program Vlog Vol. 4: March 2020
After two long months, we made our way back to Alta Vista Elementary School for our reading program. I was greeted with hugs and cheers as I entered and the fun did not stop there! After catching up with the kids, I introduced the text, Hidden Figures. Children shared with one another about the determination of the women the book is based on and then we dug a little deeper into the life of Katherine Johnson. To wrap up the reading we drew our own pictures of the famous mathematician! It was yet another wonderful trip to which we owe you all tremendous thanks!!! ❤️
