600 Books Donated to Seneca Creek Elementary!

I am so incredibly grateful that I got to share my book with these wonderful students.

After sharing the story of Kind Cotton and what true kindness means to me, I read my book, Kindness Is to hundreds of kids. Their takeaways gave me hope:

One girl stated that she wished everyone could show kindness like the characters in the book.

Another girl told me that she has kept my book in her backpack for months and reads it every day.

One boy noticed a character that had a visible disability in the book and asked if we had books with main characters with disabilities at our book fairs. I told him that we absolutely bring those and he immediately hugged me.

Many of the students shared their one word definitions of kindness which included:
Respect
Equality
Courage
Love
Safe
Worthy

It was a beautiful day that I will be holding onto the next time I’m feeling down. I hope you all find those moments too.
