Kind Cotton: How It's Made
We are often asked how our shirts are produced, what sustainability practices are used, and if our items are USA-made. We believe it's important to be 100% transparent, giving our customers clear insight into our product and what goes in to making each piece. We want you to be proud of wearing your Kind Cotton, not just for the impact is has on a child through our reading program, but also because of how it was made.
Our products are actually kind! Kind to the environment, kind to the people involved in the production process, and kind to you the customer. Here's an inside look at how Kind Cotton is produced:
OUR GARMENTS
Kind Cotton shirts are the best-of-the-best! Our soft, comfy tops are made using primarily Bella Canvas blanks. Bella Canvas is known for their quality, softness, eco-friendly practices, ethical manufacturing, and use of WRAP-certified sewing facilities (more on that below). Bella Canvas garments used for Kind Cotton are made in a few different places including: USA, Central America, and South America.
MADE IN USA
We use Made in USA blanks whenever possible! Bella Canvas cuts & dyes more garments in the US than any other clothing manufacturer. When choosing our styles, we lean towards USA-made whenever we can.
SUSTAINABILITY
Part of the reason we chose to partner with Bella Canvas on our Kind Cotton styles is because of their focus on sustainability. Kind Cotton tees are produced using the most eco-friendly processes available. This includes water reduction systems that use 7x less water than the average for clothing manufacturers, saving 24 million gallons a week, energy reduction through the use of solar powered manufacturing facilities, and virtually zero-waste. At Bella Canvas manufacturing facilities everything that can be recycled, is recycled. Nothing goes to waste!
WRAP CERTIFICATION
Every single Kind Cotton garment is produced at a Platinum WRAP-certified facility. What does this mean? WRAP is the world's largest independent factory-based social compliance certification program for the sewn products sector. Facilities can achieve the highest Platinum level certification through
- Human resources management
- Health and safety standards
- Environmental and eco-friendly practices
- Legal compliance including import/export, customs compliance and security standards

ECO-FRIENDLY PRINTING
Our screen print practices are designed to be friendly on the environment. We use water-based inks whenever possible as an alternative to traditional pvc-based inks. All of our tees meet Consumer Product Safety Improvement Act (CPSIA) standards for printing.
LOCAL DECORATORS
Kind Cotton products are decorated by local printers right in Florida. We pride ourselves on finding great partners that can offer the best in terms of quality and compliance. We personally check every Kind Cotton piece prior to shipping to ensure that it is perfect before it gets in your hands!

Hi! The video link embedded above seems to be broken. Our school is looking for fundraising options but we are very eco-conscious so would like to know more about your production partner. Thank you!
