Join Little Justice Leaders and Kind Cotton for a 100% web-based/virtual social justice summer reading club designed for kids & their caregivers!

We wanted to create a space where caregivers could meet with other families who aim to explicitly weave social justice learning into their lives. There will be six sessions held this summer with a hopes of continuing in the fall. Each session will include an author visit, art project, community discussion, and action steps you can take part in with your child. Your kids seeing you actively involved in collective change is important and we are here to guide you and be in community.

On top of the bi-weekly meetings, you’ll receive a summer reading log, book suggestions, and discussion questions for each book. Join us this summer in fun, engaging, meaningful conversations.

If you would like to participate and currently do not have the financial means please email us at info@kindcotton.com

Frequently Asked Questions

Both! We have created this space for caregivers and their kids to participate together in social justice activities, learning, and action in community.

Kind Little Book Club is 100% virtual and all sessions will be recorded, so if you miss a session you can watch later!

If you sign up for the full summer, you’ll receive access to our Kind Little Book Club community space where you can chat, ask questions, and share resources.

A typical online book club session will include a read aloud by the author (with the exception of the second July date), Q+A, breakout rooms for discussion, an guided art project, and action steps to take your learning further.

A summer book list of suggested reads, a book tracker, and discussion questions.

That’s totally up to you. We don’t think it’s necessary to have read the book beforehand since it will be read to the kids during book club.

4-12 is the ideal age for our book club! We find that multi-age learning is a wonderful way to grow and develop critically thinking through conversations.

Absolutely not! An entire household can join our virtual book club under the same purchase.
