Free Book Fair: Whetstone Elementary

This is the first in person Book Fair Kind Cotton has ever held! It has been a dream of ours for years to be able to host free book fairs for kids. Kaitlin had taught Kindergarten prior to focusing on Kind Cotton full time and she would dread the Scholastic book fair. Watching some children purchase stacks of books, while others had none, was highly inequitable.

Today was different! Every child at Whetstone Elementary was able to take home any book of their choice! Over 800 books were handed out! “We were so excited to receive books for every child at our school. This means so much for the Whetstone family. We are incredibly grateful to all the work Kind Cotton has done to get books into the hands of every child here”, Teacher, Mollie Kane stated.
