So helpful!

I got this book for a friend but ended up reading it to my daughter too because she saw it on the table. She ended up having to have a minor surgery for tubes in her ears and she was so brave. She tends to be sensitive to new people and things but I think this book made everything feel a bit familiar to her and no tears.

The perfect children’s book for surgery prep

We absolutely love Carter’s Courage! It’s such a sweet and helpful way to show what surgery is really like for kids. I think this book could help any child preparing for a hospital stay feel so much more comfortable. The pictures make everything feel less scary, and we really liked the 'bandage badge' definitions and Carter’s tips and tricks. Such a great find!

Adorable Book!

Carter’s Courage is a great book that breaks down what surgery might look or feel like for a child. Colorful illustrations and explanations of medical terms really help children understand that they don’t have to be scared. Wonderful addition to our home library!

The most adorable book, ever! From the storyline, perfect to help children understand surgeries, to the explanation of surgery related big words at the bottom of the page, to the colorful and creative illustrations, this is a book that will inspire, motivate and validate children that have to undergo surgical procedures.
