Meet our new design partner: Sharon Frances
Sharon Frances is a social justice artist, coloring book and zine maker; and an indie author for children, teens and families.
A twenty five year educator and teacher educator with expertise in arts education, language arts and social justice,
Sharon has worked with students, teachers, and families to support bilingual education, gender diversity and LGBTQ+ inclusion in preK-12 schools. During breast cancer treatment, Sharon started a project for families impacted by cancer called Well Beings Studio, with free arts, media and literature resources. Since 2018, she/they donated over 6,000 books to families, community organizations, libraries, schools and hospitals as part of that project.
Sharon has donated her art and proceeds from her art to families impacted by ICE and rapid response organizations, sexual assault survivor legal defense, Palestine mutual aid and non-profits; LGBTQ+ families and organizations; and freedom to read/litearcy campaigns.
