Issues we Care About

It is crucial to our mission that we put our energy and money into being involved in activism on a macro level. All injustices in our country are aligned and we want to continue to create a collective community in which we all feel connected and motivated to act. We wish to lead with love, empathy, compassion, inclusion, and justice in order to create a kinder future.

  • Reproductive Healthcare & Justice

Reproductive Healthcare is life saving care that every human deserves access to. When Roe V. Wade was initially overturned, we created our reproductive rights tee and have donated over $7,000 to Planned Parenthood and National Network for Abortion Funds.

    How to get involved:

    • Familiarize yourself with organizations looking to protect a right to choose and offer safe reproductive care.

    • Volunteer, Donate, Share the mission of the various organizations below with friends and family:

    Reproductiverights.org

    Abortionfunds.org

    Mayday Health

  • LGBTQIA+ Rights

When the Don’t Say Gay Law (Parental Rights Law) was first mentioned in the state of Florida, we recognized the need to ensure youth had access to books with LGBTQIA+ representation. To date, we have donated over 10,000 LGBTQIA+ books. Along with books, we have donated to various organizations, attended rallies, and volunteered in different spaces.

    How to get involved:

    • Speak at your local Board Meetings. Right wing organizations have been gaining in popularity all across the country. These people are showing up at board meetings, getting elected, and successfully banning books, which more often than not have LGBTQIA+ representation in them.
    • Volunteer, Donate, and Share the mission of the various organizations below with friends and family:

    The Trevor Project

    National Black Justice Coalition

    Equality Florida

  • Inclusive Books & Education

Books offer opportunities to feel love and represented. They are also a tool into the life of someone who is different from you. In doing so, they are tools to develop empathy. We will continue to advocate for books in which every child feels seen, loved, and valued for who they are.

    So what can you do?

    • Purchase books from Independent Bookstores/Publishing Companies. Here are a few of our favorites:
