5 Ways to Be Kind to THOSE AFFECTED while Social Distancing

We never thought we'd live in this time, but here we are and fortunately many of us are well. So today we want to focus on ways you can help others while social distancing.

DONATE BLOOD!

Yes, I know we have been telling everyone to stay inside!! And we truly believe that you should be under just about any circumstance. However, the American Red Cross is in desperate need of blood donations. If you do have to go out, make it purposeful. You can setup an appointment to help provide blood during these severe shortage by heading over to https://www.redcross.org

GIVE A MEAL!

Recently women from my school took monetary donations for families in need of food to ensure children were eating prior to schools giving out curbside meals. There may be children in your community who don't have easy access to food with schools being closed. There are also a number of food-based organizations you can provide to (more below).

DONATE SUPPLIES!

Hospitals are running low and we are going to rely on medical staff now more than ever to fight this. If you can get your hands on extra gloves, masks, or even ventilators somehow, donate them!

HELP CHILDREN!

You know how much we care about books. And by purchasing from Kind Cotton you're providing a book directly to a child. Another organization focused on providing books is First Book. With this pandemic, many kids don't have access to the internet or books in the home. Books are needed now more than ever.

DONATE MONEY!

Many organizations are at the forefront of helping those affected. Here are just a few to consider:

Take care of yourself and your loved ones, but if you are able to, help those being affected directly by COVID-19 as well. Together, let's spread love, empathy, and kindness  and we'll be stronger after this is over.
