Free Spirit or Creature of Habit - Which one are you?

One of the things I love most about our company, Kind Cotton, is the sentimental attachment that each shirt brings to an individual person. Today, there are two that

speak to me, “Not all who wander are lost” (made famous by JRR Tolkien), and “There is no place like home.” ("The Wizard of Oz" - L. Frank Baum)  With it being the week of Independence

Day, people all across the country are packing their bags, heading out their doors, and piling into their cars to set off on their next big adventure. Some travel to the same place every year and enjoy the comfort of tradition, while others may embark on new journeys; relishing in the excitement of the unknown. And that is the beauty of travel. It’s the idea that escaping to a place of new beginnings or traveling down memory lane to an area of familiarity can provide us with the unique opportunity to do what makes our souls happy. I tend to think that I am a little bit of both. There is nothing I love more than stepping onto my parent’s front porch, surrounded by the beauty of nature all while visions of my childhood dance through my head. There, in those brief moments each time I go home, I am at peace. I love picking up the old

landline, and dialing my local friends’ numbers to plan where the meeting spot of the night will be. I crave the smells coming from the kitchen while laying on my parent’s couch with their little pup, Lulu. I dream of the warmth of bonfires and friends reminiscing over fond memories in the backyard. In these moments, there truly is “no

place like home.” However, since our honeymoon I have found that I am also a woman up for an adventure. There is something so thrilling about traveling to a place you’ve never been. Whether it be smelling the crisp air of the Smoky Mountains, or taking in the beauty of the Eiffel Tower lit up at night, there is nothing quite like the excitement that comes over you when you experience something for the first time. So, not only have I planned a trip home this summer, but Kev and I will be packing our bags this week to go to Toronto for a couple of days. Whether you are a free spirit or a creature of habit Kind Cotton has the shirt for you. Let us know what kind of person you are and which shirt suits you below! And be sure to follow us for updates on our official launch! love kaitlin
