Valentine's Day: Simple Style Guide

Ok ladies, Valentine’s Day is right around the corner and if you’re anything like me you’re probably stressing out about what to wear. I have already rummaged through all my clothes that have the slightest bit of red or pink in them. I didn’t have much to choose from considering most of my wardrobe consist of neutrals. Then the reality of having to pick two outfits for the day set in (one for school and one for a date night with my hubby). I immediately sat down in front of the computer and compiled a list. So, if you are looking for some last-minute ideas, keep on scrolling!

1. Little red dress

Unless you are hitting the nightclubs on South Beach, I can’t think of a better time than Valentine’s Day to wear a flirty red dress. This is one of my favorites from Nordstrom.

2. Simple touch of color

If black is more your thing, why not consider adding a pop of pink or red to your ensemble? Try pairing a blush pink blazer with black pants or jeans like this one from Topshop.

3. Casual

Thank goodness my daytime outfit is complete since I’ll be wearing our heart slouchy scoop, my favorite high waist jeans, and classic converse sneakers! Best part of this look (aside from the fact that you can get the top for just $20) is that every time you look down at the perfectly sewn heart you know that you’ve put a book in the hand of a child in need!

4. When all else fails, go with bold lips

Life is busy sometimes so let’s face it, you may not have the perfectly planned outfit this Valentine’s day. When this happens, and trust me it often does, I simply make sure my lips match the occasion.

What will you be wearing on Valentine's Day? Which one of these outfit ideas best suites your style?
