Another free book fair!

We recently hosted another FREE book fair thanks to all of your continued support and purchases.

The day was filled with happiness and gratitude. From the moment I walked through the doors and saw the beautifully decorated welcome Kind Cotton signs on the walls, I knew it was going to be a good day.

We gave away over 700 books and here are some of the key takeaways from the day:

  • One teacher thanked me for having books by Asian authors because she didn’t feel represented as a child.
  • Another educator grabbed a copy of Stella Brings the Family, a book about two dads to read during the week of Mother’s Day and discuss different family dynamics.
  • A little boy named Bilal cheered with excitement when his friend pointed out the book, Bilal Cooks Daal.
  • A girl was so excited when she found a copy of Nia Sky’s Friend on Wheels because the main character looked like her.

Inclusive books are so very important and you ALL help us create experiences like this. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.
